On October 22nd, the City of San Diego Rules Committee will hear the proposed vacation tax rental from Councilmember Elo Rivera. More specifically, the proposal calls for a to-be-determined fee that would be levied annually on an estimated 10,600 homes held vacant or used as full-year short term vacation rentals. At time of writing, the outcome of the meeting was not known but the BIA anticipates being active in the development of the specifics of the policy to provide industry feedback.
