The City of San Diego’s Chief Financial Officer sent the letter (attached, not sure how you’d want to link it) to CSCDA to illustrate how the City had made the determination to remove themselves from the SCIP program. Tellingly, the staff report from Contra Costa is referenced as similar to San Diego’s thinking but Contra Costa did not proceed with the item so it is unclear how the other jurisdiction is now positioned for SCIP going forward. On Thursday, we will hear from the City more specifically about the program’s future locally.
