The City of Chula Vista is proposing to raise their flat and tiered fees by 10%, and is bringing this item before Council on September 22nd. Roy Sapa’u joined the South County Legislative Committee to review their timeline for this bump up, with the caveat that the City has also acquired a consultant to do a broader fee study. The City has opted not to increase many of its fees in recent years, which has now motivated them to review costs and other opportunities to leverage additional funds. The BIA team has committed to working with City staff and the consultant on providing data and reviewing any potential proposes in advance of it going to Council next year.
