WHO WE ARE
The Responsible ADU Committee brings together builders, designers, policy advocates and other industry professionals working to make accessory dwelling unit (ADU) development in San Diego more predictable, consistent, and achievable. We collaborate with city and county agencies, utility providers, and state partners to improve how ADU policies are written, interpreted, and applied.
OUR MISSION
Our goal is to promote a clear, coordinated approach to ADU development. We aim to reduce uncertainty for homeowners and professionals while supporting the region’s housing goals. Members contribute both technical insight and policy perspective, helping shape a more efficient and transparent regulatory environment for small-scale housing.
