The County Board of Supervisors passed a $14.5 million dollar housing package intended to fast-track home building in unincorporated areas. Special thanks to Supervisor Jim Desmond for championing an amendment to the motion on behalf of the BIA SD, which provided funding for an expedited programmatic Environmental Impact Report that contains a mitigation plan for Vehicles Miles Traveled, so that applicants pay only a percentage of VMT mitigation while the County pays for a majority of regional transportation mitigation requirements.
