The City Council heard the proposal to limit fees levied by landlords (late fees, etc) and severely restrict industry’s ability to screen tenants in an informational hearing on Tuesday, June 30th. BIA has been a steady participant in these discussions, highlighting how this will impact industry negatively, likely limit options for tenants with less resources, and further depress homebuilding.
