This council is in place to move forward issues that pertain to the sub-contractor. Educational seminars and other specific sub-committees will be the driver of this group. This council is open to anyone who is a BIA member and can attend the SCC board meeting each month.

WHO WE ARE
The Specialty Contractors Council (SCC) focuses on promoting the business for Specialty Contractors, Suppliers, and Associates, while also providing support for the goals of the Building Industry Association of San Diego. The SCC creates value for its members by presenting opportunities for professional growth and success via educational seminars and networking events. These offer a forum for relationships development with other specialty contractors and Builder members.
WHAT WE DO
SCC members are informed and updated at SCC meetings on current political, policy, and industry issues. SCC meetings provide an opportunity for collaborative discussion on best practices that affect all aspects of the trades.
Our meetings have monthly member spotlights. The spotlight gives members an opportunity to provide other SCC Board members and guest members with a better understanding of their business.
The SCC also offers monthly Builder/GC spotlights. The Builder/GC presents on their upcoming projects as well as the biding process and their specific needs.

MEETINGS & EVENTS
The Specialty Contractors Council holds monthly Board Meetings at the BIA office. These meetings have monthly member spotlights, which give members an opportunity to provide other SCC members and guests with a better understanding of their business. The SCC also offers monthly Builder/GC spotlights where the Builder/GC presents on their upcoming projects as well as the biding process and their specific needs. The SCC organizes some of the most popular BIA events including Meet the Builder and two annual educational seminars.
Our monthly board meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 11:30 AM at the BIA San Diego Office.
