Supervisor Nathan Fletcher’s governance during the years of 2019 through 2023 will go down in history as some of the worst policymaking in the County of San Diego. This Special Election is the opportunity we desperately needed. After a rigorous endorsement process, the Building Industry Association of San Diego County has determined that only one candidate meets the needs of our members. This candidate is Janessa Goldbeck. We need your help getting Janessa into office. An $8.17 billion budget is at stake. 770,000 acres of land is at stake. This isn’t a drill. The issue is urgent. Voting begins July 18th.
The BIA has endorsed Janessa Goldbeck because we believe she will:
a) Discuss the impacts of the existing VMT policy in the County and examine policy modifications that will help solve the housing crisis.
b) Simplify the permitting process in the unincorporated County.
c) Cut down on the costs associated with building housing.
