BIA Requests a Restart on the CAO Process

BIA issued a letter requesting the San Diego County Board of Supervisors restart its search for a new County of San Diego Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), with a new process, rather than pausing the current process and picking it up at a later date. Specifically, BIA requested that Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez be removed from consideration in the CAO process due to the fact that she does not have extensive executive experience nor is she familiar with our region. She also received campaign contributions from Supervisor Fletcher, which makes the current process and her consideration look suspect.
