Bans for Gas Appliances Overturned

A ruling this week was issued by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals that invalidated the City of Berkley’s natural gas ban. CBIA filed an amicus brief in this challenge by the California Restaurant Association and the ban was found invalid because it is preempted by federal law (the Energy Policy and Conservation Act).
