On May 2nd, the County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to hold a Special Election to fill the vacancy from Nathan Fletcher’s resignation in District 4. BIA will be active and engaged in this election. Below is the current schedule:
· August 6: Nomination Deadline
· August 15: Special Election Primary
· November 7: Special General Election (if no candidate gets over 50% in primary)
Currently, 3 candidates have publicly announced they will be running in the Special Election for District 4. These include:
· Monica Montgomery, City of San Diego District 4 Councilmember
· Janessa Goldbeck, CEO of Vet Voice Foundation
· Amy Reichert, Founder of ReOpen San Diego
