Oceanside Park Impact Fee Update

At the April North County Legislative Affairs Committee meeting several questions and concerns were discussed regarding the proposed increase to Oceanside’s Park Impact Fee. There were concerns regarding how the study, conducted by Economic Planning Systems, calculated the proposed fee. Our attorney, David Lanferman reviewed the study. He concluded there were several issues with the study and drafted a letter to the City to express our concerns and potential legal issues. The City decided to not hear the item as planned on May 9th at the Parks and Recreation Commission after receiving our letter. We will continue to provide updates as we get them.
